Director of Facilities (Multifamily)

Lion Real Estate Group•Nashville, TN

About The Position

The Director of Facilities protects asset value and delivers reliable resident service across Lion Real Estate Group’s multifamily communities by building the systems, standards, people, and vendor partnerships that help service teams succeed. The role is responsible for maintenance performance across the portfolio and establishes the standards, programs, and controls used by onsite service teams rather than managing day-to-day service operations. Its scope includes preventive maintenance, risk management, maintenance budgets, vendor performance, and service team development. The Director partners closely with the CapEx Director, Procurement, Talent Acquisition, and regional leaders to keep communities safe, well maintained, and cost-efficient. The role supports Service Managers rather than supervising daily operations and partners with the CapEx Director rather than managing capital projects. It leads any direct reports, including creating development plans and preparing successors for key roles. The position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is based at the Nashville Corporate Office or remotely in specific markets (NC, TX, GA), with regular travel to communities. The role is accountable for business results, resident experience, and team member experience, and models a people-centric approach focused on results, relationships, development, culture, and future leadership. It is expected to build trust, develop people, drive accountability, lead through change, collaborate across departments and regions, make resident-centric decisions, foster inclusive teams, and continually improve maintenance practices.
