About The Position

Chartwells K-12 is seeking a Director of Dining Services to lead dining operations for a K-12 school district in Woodbridge, Connecticut. The role leads a team of supervisors and frontline associates and oversees strategic planning and day-to-day operational excellence, with the goal of delivering outstanding service and culinary experiences. The director is accountable for initiatives that improve customer satisfaction and profitability, talent recruitment and development, budget ownership and cost control, and compliance with quality, safety, and sanitation standards. The position also builds strong relationships with clients, customers, and associates and performs other duties as assigned to support an efficient dining service operation.

Requirements

Five or more years of foodservice management experience.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
Proficiency in computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Food Services Technology, Management, or Hospitality, or equivalent experience.
Strong knowledge of high-volume food production and catering trends.
Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed services experience.
