About the position
ProviderTrust is seeking a seasoned Director of Data Services to lead the end-to-end delivery of both internal and external data needs. This role involves guiding and managing the creation of ETL pipelines, Data Warehouses, reports, and visualizations, as well as developing standard operating procedures for data management. The Director of Data Services will also be responsible for providing feedback, coaching, and technical guidance to the data team, as well as identifying new technologies and techniques to grow and mature data activities. Strong communication skills, knowledge of data security protocols, and experience in developing client data services offerings are required.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of company and client data needs through analytics, reporting, and data pipelines
- Collaborate closely with Software Engineers, Information Security, Systems Engineers, and internal stakeholders to create robust and secure data workflows, warehouses, and assets
- Interface with key stakeholders to define requirements for data deliverables, and identify opportunities for innovation
- Lead the data team through feedback, coaching, and hands-on technical guidance
- Guide and manage project priorities, scope, deliverables, timelines, and execution
- Provide regular updates to and receive strategic direction from key stakeholders
- Act as data representative to the organization through transparent and clear communication
- Assist in developing and promoting client data services offerings
- Help identify new technologies and techniques to grow and mature data activities
- Stay current with new data methods, technologies, and industry trends
- Uphold and enforce data security and confidentiality standards
Requirements
- Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems or related field
- Minimum of 5+ years' experience in data management and a leadership role
- Proven knowledge of ETL processes, data warehousing, and visualization
- Experience managing a data team and fostering its growth
- Experience in developing client data services offerings
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to represent and advocate for the team
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of data security protocols and procedures
