Director of Business Systems

CARBO•Fort Worth, TX
•Onsite

About The Position

The Director of Business Systems owns how Equify’s core business applications support the company’s work. This is a hands-on, high-ownership product ownership role working directly with business units to identify problems, clarify requirements, determine whether solutions call for system fixes, configuration or process changes, vendor remediation, training, or new development, and remain accountable through testing, rollout, and results. The role owns intake and prioritization of system change requests and maintains the roadmap for core platforms in partnership with the CTO. Equify’s technology team is small and works with internal engineers and external partners; this position defines work internally before vendors are engaged and has meaningful authority over what work is undertaken and in what order. The Director reports directly to the CTO. Equify’s connected core platforms cover origination, servicing, CRM, and accounting, supported by a data lakehouse. The position develops working knowledge of these systems and distinguishes system limitations from business process issues. The role also partners with reporting and analytics to define business measures and uses modern AI tools to accelerate research, documentation, analysis, and requirements work. This is an in-office position at Equify’s Fort Worth, Texas offices and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work. The work involves prolonged periods sitting at a desk and using a computer, occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds, positioning to install equipment including under desks, and moving throughout the building to access files. The employee must be able to follow written and oral instructions, work through frequent interruptions, exercise discretion and independent judgment, and communicate clearly by phone and with coworkers.
