Director of Agent Growth

Orchard
•$150,000 - $220,000•Hybrid

About The Position

Orchard is hiring a sales leader to build and lead the organization that attracts real estate agents to Orchard Brokerage, which operates in 13 markets across eight states and is expanding nationally. The role owns agent acquisition end to end, including goals, team, process, and tools. Orchard aims to bring on two to three times as many quality agents each month as it does today while maintaining or improving retention. Agent quality is measured by the revenue agents generate, not only by headcount. The Director will build a measurable, modern outbound sales engine, including mapping and prioritizing agents in target markets, developing outreach plans and sales materials, and managing each stage of the acquisition funnel. The role will oversee agent sourcing through outbound outreach, referrals, inbound interest, team recruiting, and new-market launches; collaborate with product, data, and operations on sales systems and candidate experience; shape team incentive plans; and ensure new agents transition smoothly to their market managers. The role reports to the President. It can be based in any Orchard hiring location, with a preference for Austin, Denver, or New York City. For employees based in NYC, the role is hybrid with two office days per week.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of B2B sales experience.
  • At least 4–5 years managing sales representatives against monthly or quarterly targets.
  • Experience leading an enterprise or SMB sales team, preferably at a technology or high-growth company.
  • Experience owning sales targets and building the processes that help a team achieve them.
  • Hands-on experience running an outbound sales motion, including SDR/AE structures, high call volumes, scripts, cadences, and CRM use.
  • Ability to manage by funnel metrics, identify weak stages, and determine appropriate actions.
  • Demonstrated experience hiring, coaching, and managing performance, including making difficult performance decisions when needed.
  • Experience designing or managing variable compensation that encourages desired outcomes.
  • Comfort working at a fast pace and with ambiguity.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and sales skills.
  • The role may be based in Orchard hiring locations; candidates based in Austin, Denver, or New York City are preferred. NYC-based employees work hybrid, in the office two days a week.

  • Partner with product, data, and operations teams on the dialer, CRM, nurture campaigns, and candidate experience.
