Placer.ai is transforming how organizations understand the physical world. Our location analytics platform provides unprecedented visibility into locations, markets, and consumer behavior. Placer empowers thousands of customers—from Fortune 500 companies, to local governments and nonprofits— to make smarter, data-driven decisions. What sets us apart? We've built the most advanced location intelligence platform in the market while maintaining an uncompromising commitment to privacy, proving that powerful analytics and responsible data practices can coexist. Our growth reflects the market's demand: we reached $100M in annual recurring revenue within just 6 years of launching, achieved unicorn status with a $1B+ valuation in 2022, and continue to expand rapidly as one of North America's fastest-growing tech companies. We're creating a $100B+ market opportunity, and we're just getting started. Named one of Forbes America's Best Startup Employers and a Deloitte Technology Fast 500 company, we're building a culture where innovation thrives, collaboration is the norm, and every team member contributes to reshaping how the world understands location. SUMMARY: The Director of Marketing Operations will own how marketing runs at Placer.ai: the systems, the data, the lead lifecycle, and the reporting that marketing and revenue leadership use to make decisions. This role reports to the VP of Revenue Operations and works in direct support of marketing leadership. This person sets the direction and owns the architecture. The Marketing Operations Manager reporting to this role owns the day-to-day build work in HubSpot, Salesforce, and Chili Piper, so this is not the person configuring every workflow. It is the person who decides what gets built, reviews the work, unblocks the team, and makes the call on what we buy, keep, or retire. Marketing Operations at Placer.ai sits inside Revenue Operations, and partners with Sales Operations, Customer Success Operations, Deal Desk, and Business Operations. The funnel is managed as one system, which means this role is accountable for definitions and data that marketing and sales both rely on, not only for marketing's own reporting. This person will be the operational voice in marketing planning conversations, and will need to say clearly when a plan will not work as designed, early enough for it to matter.
