About The Position

Within Fidelity’s Workplace Investing (WI) Client Engagement Group (CEG), the Director, Market Intelligence & Competitive Strategy leads market and competitive intelligence for Stock Plan Services, Executive Financial Services, and Nonqualified Deferred Compensation. The role also assesses broader developments across retirement, workplace wealth, financial wellness, and participant engagement that may affect these businesses. This position provides an independent, outside-in perspective on competitors, market dynamics, client needs, emerging technologies, regulatory developments, and growth opportunities. The Director will build and lead an intelligence agenda, conduct market and competitor research, deliver actionable insights and executive-ready materials, support strategic and commercial decisions, manage external research relationships, and develop scalable processes and tools—including effective use of AI and automation. Fidelity’s onsite working model is transitioning toward full-time onsite presence through a phased rollout; expectations vary by region and role and may evolve. The position’s base salary range is $103,000–$211,000 USD per year, with placement depending on responsibilities and scope, location, relevant experience, and other factors.
