About The Position

Evergreen Residential is hiring a Director, IT Operations to own the day-to-day operation of technology and the security program that keep the company’s teams productive and protected. This is a hands-on, director-level player-coach role leading IT operations and cybersecurity while also personally administering systems, conducting audits, resolving escalations, and managing vendors. The director is the senior day-to-day owner of IT reliability, security posture, and the user experience, and guides the broader company on secure ways of working. The role supports approximately 400 employees across three offices and a mobile field workforce. It leads the office-based help desk and cybersecurity team, including a junior cybersecurity analyst, and is responsible for Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Azure, networks, field iPads, endpoint protection, backups, vendors, assets, and operational documentation. The director plans and performs annual SOC 1 and SOC 2 audit activities and NIST framework assessments, and reports security posture and risk to executive leadership. This is a full-time employee role based in the Dallas office, with four days in the office and one day remote. Occasional after-hours support for urgent issues and periodic travel to the New York or Charlotte offices are expected. The company is unable to provide visa sponsorship.
