About The Position

Aon is seeking a technology leader to own the strategy, roadmap, delivery, and operational excellence of Aon.com and supporting web technologies. The Director will define and execute a multi-year technology roadmap aligned with business, marketing, brand, and client experience objectives, and serve as the primary technology partner to Marketing, Communications, Brand, and Sales.

The role leads the evolution of Aon's digital platform ecosystem, including Sitecore, web content management, personalization, user experiences, search, analytics, integrations, and emerging AI capabilities. The Director will build and develop a high-performing global technology team and mature Agile product delivery practices. The position also drives engineering excellence, partners with enterprise technology groups to ensure solutions are secure and scalable, and manages strategic vendors and technology investments.

This role combines technical vision and delivery execution for a highly visible, business-critical digital platform. It calls for strong technology and people leadership, as well as the ability to engage and align business and technology collaborators.

Requirements

• 10+ years of demonstrated experience leading enterprise web platforms, digital experience technologies, or customer-facing applications.
• Solid experience with Sitecore and related digital experience technologies and languages.
• Experience developing technology roadmaps, architecture strategies, and modernization programs for large-scale digital platforms.
• Deep understanding of Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies, product operating models, and engineering best practices.
• Experience leading distributed teams through digital transformation and platform modernization initiatives.
• Knowledge of web integration patterns across CRM, marketing, analytics, identity, and enterprise platforms.
• Demonstrable ability to build, scale, and develop high-performing technology teams.
• Strong business relationship management skills, including the ability to influence senior collaborators and drive alignment across business and technology organizations.
• Excellent communication, critical-thinking, and executive-presence skills.
• Experience managing budgets, portfolios, vendors, and technology investments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy, roadmap, delivery, and operational excellence of Aon.com and supporting web technologies.
• Define and execute a multi-year technology roadmap aligned with business, marketing, brand, and client experience objectives.
• Serve as the primary technology partner to Marketing, Communications, Brand, and Sales, translating business needs into scalable technology solutions.
• Lead the evolution of the digital platform ecosystem, including Sitecore, content management, personalization, user experiences, search, analytics, integrations, and emerging AI capabilities.
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing global team of product managers, architects, developers, scrum masters, and engineers.
• Establish and mature Agile product delivery practices, including Scrum, backlog management, release planning, sprint execution, and continuous improvement.
• Drive engineering excellence through modern development practices, platform governance, DevOps, automation, and operational reliability.
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, and Data teams to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
• Manage strategic vendor relationships and technology investments while balancing innovation, technical debt reduction, and business priorities.
