The Director of Business Development will lead efforts to drive revenue growth across U.S. Government accounts, focusing on defense and intelligence customers. This high-impact individual-contributor role has a path toward building and leading a government-focused business development team. The role oversees capture strategies, navigates complex government procurement pathways, and develops relationships with stakeholders across the defense and intelligence communities. The Director designs and executes strategic business development campaigns; manages the full capture lifecycle, from customer engagement and win strategy through teaming, solution shaping, proposal oversight, and post-award execution; and leads cross-functional teams in delivering differentiated, competitive, compliant proposals. The position also provides strategic direction during annual planning, owns and expands company revenue within the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community, and positions the company’s technologies as scalable solutions for mission-critical military and intelligence communications programs. The role pursues opportunities through traditional and non-traditional contracting methods, including BAAs, SBIRs, OTAs, and larger contract vehicles. It works closely with Sales Engineering, program teams, and executive leadership, and builds upon the foundational government business development function to scale revenue, teams, and strategy.
