Director Business Development-Home Health
About The Position
Empath Health is hiring a Director of Business Development for its Home Health service line. This regional leadership role is responsible for expanding Home Health services across Marion, Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas, and Hillsborough counties. The Director will shape market strategy, develop high-impact relationships, and guide a team of Business Development professionals in achieving growth and referral goals. Empath Health's Home Health program provides skilled nursing, therapy, and personal care services to help patients recover and maintain independence at home. It serves patients across 16 Florida counties and is accredited by the Joint Commission and the Accreditation Commission for Health Care. The role supports Empath Health’s mission of providing Full Life Care for All.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of leadership experience guiding high-performing sales or business development teams.
- Proven success meeting and exceeding growth goals within Home Health.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare markets, referral dynamics, and CRM or sales technology tools.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic, goal-oriented mindset and passion for improving access to care and supporting the organization’s mission.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and inspire a regional team of Business Development professionals to achieve growth and referral goals.
- Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans that strengthen community partnerships and drive patient referrals.
- Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, referral sources, and key community stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends, analyze performance data, and identify opportunities for service expansion.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to support a seamless, mission-driven experience for patients and families.
- Represent Empath Health in the community and champion its mission of Full Life Care.
