About The Position

Evo Ressources is currently looking for a Human Resources Director to join the team of one of its clients, a well-established company in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Ontario, and Northern Quebec. The Human Resources Director will be responsible for overseeing all human resources activities and supporting the organization in achieving its growth objectives. As a strategic partner to management, you will contribute to the development of a strong organizational culture, the maintenance of a positive work environment, and the evolution of human resources practices.

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in human resources management, industrial relations, or a related field
  • Possess more than 7 years of experience in a human resources management role
  • Be bilingual
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership, good judgment, and strong influence skills
  • Possess solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • Show rigor, autonomy, and a great sense of organization
  • Be results-oriented while valuing a human approach

Nice To Haves

  • Membership in the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés (CRHA/CRIA) is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement human resources strategies and policies
  • Advise management on human capital management issues
  • Participate in strategic planning and organizational development
  • Ensure sound management of human resources indicators and propose areas for improvement
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and staff retention activities
  • Develop attraction strategies adapted to the company's needs
  • Implement skills development and succession plans
  • Support managers in developing their teams
  • Act as a resource person for managers regarding labor relations
  • Support managers in performance management, disciplinary files, and delicate situations
  • Ensure compliance with laws, standards, and best practices in human resources
  • Foster a healthy, motivating, and respectful work environment
  • Collaborate on health and safety initiatives at work
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of a strong organizational culture
  • Implement initiatives promoting employee engagement, well-being, and mobilization
  • Monitor trends and best practices in human resources management
