About The Position

Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Adult Residential Services. This is a full-time, hourly position with a pay rate of $21.00 – $23.10/hour. The role offers the opportunity to directly impact lives and experience fulfillment from helping others. Shifts are available Monday - Friday, 7 am - 3 pm. Brightway Living & Learning is a premier non-profit provider of human services on Long Island, offering educational, residential, day habilitation, and vocational programs. With a 65-year legacy as the Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI), Brightway supports over 1,600 children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities through a full continuum of care. Using persistence, adaptability, and behavioral science, Brightway professionals enable individuals to grow, learn, and meet milestones at their own pace. The Direct Support Professional (DSP) plays a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities in their daily lives. This involves assisting with daily living activities, fostering independence, promoting well-being, and helping individuals connect with their communities. This position requires a valid NYS Driver's License for 18+ months with a clean driving history and successful completion of DDI's Transportation Orientation. New hires not meeting this criteria will start at a lower rate of $19.00/hour.

Provide individualized support with personal care, meal preparation, transportation, and community outings.
