Part Time DSP with 2000 Hiring Bonus
About The Position
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at LSS, you will support people with identified needs as they pursue their hopes, dreams, and goals through person-centered care. The role offers afternoon shifts and pays $17 per hour. After six months of consistent employment, employees may have the opportunity to receive a wage increase of up to $17.50 per hour. A $2,000 hiring bonus is offered to eligible employees who meet the stated requirements. DSPs build purposeful relationships with the people they support, provide guidance and encouragement, and advocate for them across different areas of life. This includes supporting community engagement and essential living skills. The role also involves documentation, record keeping, and participation in periodic meetings and training in accordance with regulations and LSS standards. Paid training is provided during orientation and throughout employment. Requirements
- Desire to help individuals with disabilities achieve their personal hopes and dreams through person-centered care and support.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Check.
- Ability to successfully pass a DHS background check.
- To qualify for the hiring bonus: work at least 40% FTE, remain current on all trainings, maintain employment in good standing, and work all scheduled shifts.
Nice To Haves
- No previous experience is required; experience as a Homemaker, PCA, Caregiver, or Resident Assistant is relevant.
