Advanced DSP: $2000 Hiring Bonus!
About The Position
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at LSS, you will provide person-centered support to people with identified needs as they pursue their hopes, dreams, and goals. The role is based in a residential group home setting supporting up to four people and involves assisting with daily living, health and well-being, community involvement, and independent living skills. You will work as part of a collaborative, mission-driven team focused on dignity, respect, and inclusion. The position pays $17.00 per hour, with an opportunity to increase to $17.50 per hour after six months of consistent employment. A $2,000 hiring bonus is offered to eligible hires. Full-time and part-time shifts are available. To qualify for the hiring bonus, team members must work at least 40% FTE, remain current on all trainings, maintain employment in good standing, and work all scheduled shifts. No prior experience or formal education is required; training and support are provided. Requirements
- A genuine passion for helping others and supporting people with identified needs through person-centered care.
- No prior experience or formal education is required; training and support are provided.
- Comfort with basic computer use for documenting care and communicating with the team.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record; must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Check.
- Must be able to pass a DHS background check.
- To qualify for the hiring bonus: work at least 40% FTE, remain up to date on all trainings, maintain employment in good standing, and work all scheduled shifts.
Responsibilities
- Build meaningful relationships and provide guidance, encouragement, and support.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, hygiene, meals, household support and cleaning, and transportation.
- Support community involvement, social connections, and independent living skills.
- Advocate for the rights, needs, and preferences of people with identified needs.
- Monitor health and well-being and report changes as needed.
- Complete required documentation.
- Participate in training and team meetings.
