About The Position

ARC GLOW is hiring a full-time Community Hab Direct Support Professional for its Supportive Living Department, serving individuals in Livingston and Wyoming County. The role provides one-to-one support and teaches people with intellectual disabilities skills that can help them live independently, build community connections, and continue to grow. Skills taught include household tasks such as cleaning, shopping, managing finances, and cooking, as well as socialization skills. The position also involves supporting community outings and helping individuals develop success at home and in the community.

Requirements

• Valid New York State driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills.
• Computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Work one to one with individuals.
• Teach daily living skills, including household tasks and socialization skills.
• Develop creative approaches and ideas to support individuals.
• Attend and schedule outings in the surrounding area.
• Contact individuals, programs, and/or families as needed.
• Transport individuals using an agency vehicle.
• Document program data accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provide excellent customer service and act as a role model.
• Coach individuals to achieve success at home and in the community.
