About The Position

Arc GLOW's Direct Support Professionals provide daily care and support to people with developmental, intellectual, and/or physical disabilities in a Day Habilitation setting. Working as part of a team, DSPs support personal care and daily living skills, encourage participants to work toward personalized goals, and help plan and take part in activities such as arts and crafts, games, sensory activities, and small-group programming. They also support community inclusion through social events, volunteering, outings, and skill-building opportunities. The role includes documenting program data accurately and promptly, providing transportation as needed using agency vehicles, using software platforms for job functions, and preparing meals. Arc GLOW offers paid training and opportunities to grow and advance in a meaningful career. This position is listed as full-time, with per-diem opportunities also available. The schedule is daytime hours, 7:30 AM–3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with some evenings for staff meetings and training.

Requirements

Valid New York State driver's license with an acceptable driving record, according to agency policy.
Reliable transportation to and from work.
Excellent communication skills.
Physical ability to transfer and lift people with mobility restraints.

Ability to use a computer efficiently.

Responsibilities
