About The Position

ViaQuest Direct Support Professionals provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. The role focuses on fostering independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring individuals’ health and safety. Training is provided, including paid training and orientation. Flexible schedules and a variety of schedules are available. The position is based in Mansfield, Ohio, and pays $17.50–$18.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Have a valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Provide a Motor Vehicle Record and meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria.
• Be able to push, lift, or carry up to 50 pounds and climb, balance, kneel, and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting independence, choice, and empowerment while meeting health and safety needs.
• Supervise, teach, and assist individuals in all aspects of daily life.
• Complete household tasks, including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Provide personal care assistance.
