About The Position

ViaQuest Residential Services is hiring Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes in Troy, Ohio, and surrounding areas. The role focuses on fostering individuals’ independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring their health and safety. Training is provided in its entirety, and prior experience is not required. Paid training includes CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration courses and certifications.

Open interviews for residential locations are held every Monday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the local office, 7695 Poe Ave., Dayton, OH 45414. Candidates are asked to bring an Ohio driver’s license, I-9 employment eligibility documents, an auto insurance card, and proof of their highest level of education.

The advertised pay is $17.50–$18.50 per hour. The posting describes benefits for full-time employees and notes flexible schedules. Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• A personal, reliable vehicle that the employee is willing and able to use to transport individuals served.
• Valid driver's license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria.
• Ability to push, lift, or carry up to 50 pounds, and to climb, balance, kneel, and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring their health and safety.
• Supervise, teach, and assist individuals in all aspects of their lives.
• Complete household tasks, including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Provide personal care assistance.
• Use a personal vehicle to transport individuals served.
