About The Position

ViaQuest Residential Services is hiring a Direct Support Professional to support individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes in Chillicothe, Ohio. Training is provided in its entirety, and no prior experience is required. The role focuses on fostering individuals’ independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring their health and safety. The listed pay is $17.75–$18.25 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Have a personal, reliable vehicle and be willing and able to use it to transport individuals served.
• Have a valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Have a motor vehicle record that meets ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria.
• Be able to push, lift, or carry up to 50 pounds and climb, balance, kneel, and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, fostering increased independence, choice, and empowerment while meeting their health and safety needs.
• Supervise, teach, and assist individuals in all aspects of their lives.
• Complete household tasks, including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Provide personal care assistance.
