Direct Support Professional Hillsboro & Surrounding Area

Out of the Box Solutions•Oregon City, OR

About The Position

Out of the Box Solutions is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work one-on-one with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role supports daily routines, community involvement, personal goals, safety, and well-being in a respectful, person-centered way. DSPs follow care plans, communicate with families and team members, and complete notes and documentation. The posting describes two clients, both 9-year-old girls in the 97123 area and siblings. Both have schedules of Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with possible weekend work if desired. The DSP must be comfortable working with children, who play together in the main living area. The agency notes that the positions could suit two DSPs working at the same time. Support approaches are individualized. One client may benefit from a soft tone of voice, visual cues, brief one-step directions, and space to decompress when having a difficult day. The other client needs monitoring for safe choices, eye contact when spoken to, prompts and time to understand directions, and help with calm strategies. The role offers meaningful one-on-one work, a supportive team, and flexible scheduling.
