About The Position

Out of the Box Solutions is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role supports people in living more independent and fulfilling lives through respectful, person-centered assistance tailored to each individual’s goals.

The DSP assists with daily routines, community involvement, and personal goals. This includes following care plans, communicating with families and team members, documenting services, and ensuring the client’s safety and well-being. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Have at least 1 year of caregiving or related experience.
• Have a valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Have a smartphone.
• Successfully pass all state-required background checks and meet all ODDS employment eligibility requirements.
• Have CPR/First Aid/AED certification or be willing to obtain it.
• Be dependable and show up for work.
• Have a positive attitude and flexible mindset.
• Have strong communication skills.
• Be comfortable working independently.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with daily routines, including cooking, cleaning, and personal care.
• Help clients access the community and stay engaged.
• Follow care plans and goals.
• Communicate with families and the team.
• Complete notes and documentation.
• Ensure clients’ safety and well-being at all times.
