About The Position

As a Direct Support Professional at Sevita, you will help people grow, learn, and live well by building meaningful relationships and supporting participants’ goals and community involvement. You will assist with personal hygiene and support individuals who may have behavioral challenges or other complex needs. The role calls for a compassionate, patient caregiver who takes initiative and helps participants enjoy their favorite activities and develop goals related to budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible.
• Communication, adaptability, multitasking, teamwork, and time-management skills.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships with the individuals served.
• Help participants take part in the community and enjoy their favorite activities.
