About The Position

Creed Medical is hiring a Direct Support Professional to provide compassionate respite support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, promoting independence, and supporting personal goals. The DSP works with clients, families, and the healthcare team to help ensure quality care and a supportive environment. The scheduled service is on Sundays from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with four hours of scheduled service. Community outings are not required. The position may be offered as PRN, with additional shifts potentially becoming available, including shift coverage for other clients or overtime depending on availability.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in direct support or caregiving.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification after hire.

Responsibilities

Assist individuals with personal care, hygiene, meal preparation, and daily living tasks.
Encourage and facilitate participation in social, recreational, and community activities.
Implement and follow individualized support plans to enhance client independence.
Document care activities accurately and report changes in client status.
Maintain a safe and respectful environment for clients.
Collaborate with team members and families to provide comprehensive care.
