Direct Support Professional, Respite - Part Time
About The Position
Child and Family Focus is seeking Respite Caregivers in Bucks, Chester, and Delaware Counties. The Respite Program provides temporary childcare for families raising a child with a mental health diagnosis. Care is provided hourly in the family’s home, offering parents relief and children a fun and safe environment. Hours vary from week to week according to the caregiver’s availability and the assigned family’s needs. This is a flexible, part-time, fee-for-service independent contractor position serving children. Compensation is $18–$20 per hour based on experience. Approved Respite Caregivers receive after-hours on-call support and may be eligible for yearly bonuses contingent on performance, productivity, and family feedback. Clearances, background checks, drug screenings, and other documentation are required for approval.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Clearances, background checks, drug screenings, and other documentation are required for approval.
- Compassionate and reliable, and enjoys working with young people.
Nice To Haves
- Personal hygiene care experience.
- College students working toward a degree in social work or an educational field.
- Understanding and empathy of special health needs in children.
