About The Position

Creed Medical is hiring passionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to provide compassionate respite support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, promoting independence, and supporting them in achieving personal goals. DSPs work closely with clients, families, and the healthcare team to provide quality care in a supportive environment. The position is for part-time respite services and may be offered as PRN. Additional shifts may become available, with possible opportunities to increase hours through coverage for other clients or overtime, depending on availability.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in direct support or caregiving.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification after hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal care, hygiene, meal preparation, and daily living tasks.
• Encourage and facilitate participation in social, recreational, and community activities.
• Implement and follow individualized support plans to enhance client independence.
• Document care activities accurately and report changes in client status.
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment for clients.
• Collaborate with team members and families to provide comprehensive care.

Benefits

• Respite services pay rate: $15–$17 per hour.
• Potential additional shifts and opportunities to increase hours through client shift coverage or overtime, depending on availability.
