About The Position

Bancroft is hiring a full-time Direct Support Professional for its Adult Residential department in Marlton, New Jersey. The role supports adults with autism and intellectual or developmental disabilities, providing quality care in a positive and empathetic manner. The schedule is Sunday 9 a.m.–11 p.m., Monday and Tuesday 3 p.m.–11 p.m., and Wednesday 5 p.m.–11 p.m. The hourly rate is $19.06–$19.44.

Direct Support Professionals help residents build daily living skills and independence through personalized plans of care, and support community connection through events and outings. They work as part of an accountable, supportive team and communicate with residents, families, and guardians. The work can be physically, mentally, and emotionally demanding, and weekend availability is required.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Work well in teams and be open to learning new skills.
• Have the ability and willingness to work weekends.
• Have a current driver’s license in good standing.
• Have a strong desire to work with people with autism and/or intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Nice To Haves

• An associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
• Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
