Direct Support Professional (DSP) - 2nd Shift Full Time
About The Position
Bancroft is hiring a full-time Direct Support Professional for its Adult Residential department in Mt. Ephraim, New Jersey. The role supports adults with autism and other intellectual or developmental disabilities, providing quality care in a positive and empathetic manner. The schedule is Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m., and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The hourly rate is $19.06–$19.44. Direct Support Professionals help residents develop daily living skills and independence through personalized care plans. They also plan events and outings, work as part of a supportive and accountable team, and communicate with residents, families, and guardians. The work can be physically, mentally, and emotionally challenging, and each hour may bring different needs and activities.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- Work well in teams and be open to learning new skills.
- Be able and willing to work weekends.
- Have a current driver's license in good standing.
- Have a strong desire to work with autistic individuals and/or people with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
