About The Position

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and caregivers support individuals with developmental disabilities, empowering them to live as independently as possible. The role involves helping residents with daily needs, accompanying them on errands, participating in community activities, and supporting their personal goals and desires. The position is hiring in Golden Valley, Minnesota. Available schedule: Monday 2 p.m.–9 p.m., Friday 2 p.m.–10 p.m., and every Saturday and Sunday 2 p.m.–9 p.m. or 2 p.m.–10 p.m.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have an active driver’s license in good standing and a good driving record.
• Must be willing and able to pass a background check.
• Must be willing to complete an Adult CPR and First Aid course; existing certification is a plus.
• Must demonstrate patience, kindness, and a servant’s heart and hands.
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Already having completed an Adult CPR and First Aid course.

Responsibilities

• Help residents with dining, mobility, health, and hygiene activities.
• Accompany individuals while they run errands.
• Attend community occasions and activities, including outdoor walks, games, and social events.
• Assist individuals in achieving their personal goals and desires.
