About The Position

Direct Support Professionals (also referred to as DSPs or caregivers) support individuals with developmental disabilities and empower them to live as independently as possible. The role includes helping residents with daily activities, accompanying them on errands, participating in community and recreational activities, and supporting them in pursuing personal goals and desires.

The available schedule is Friday and every other Saturday and Sunday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The position is located in Victoria, Minnesota.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have an active driver's license in good standing and a good driving record.
• Be willing and able to pass a background check.
• Be willing to complete an Adult CPR and First Aid course if not already certified.
• Demonstrate patience, kindness, and a servant's heart and hands.
• Be able to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Already have completed an Adult CPR and First Aid course.

Responsibilities

• Help residents with dining, mobility, health, and hygiene activities.
• Accompany individuals while they run errands.
• Attend community occasions and recreational activities, including outdoor walks, games, and social events.
• Assist individuals in achieving their personal goals and desires.
