About The Position

Chimes is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for a mission-driven nonprofit. The DSP empowers individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges to live with dignity, independence, and confidence in a supportive, team-focused environment. The position pays $18 per hour and is scheduled Sunday through Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The role provides hands-on support with personal care and daily living skills, follows individualized care plans, documents progress, administers medications according to policy, and uses approved behavior support techniques. DSPs help maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment and encourage community engagement. Some roles require travel and support between residential and day programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds or more.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Meet one of the following driving record requirements: at least three years of unsuspended driving history with no more than three points, or at least two years of unsuspended driving history with a clean driving record.

• Experience in disability services is preferred but not required; training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with kindness and respect.
• Assist with personal care, including dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, bathing, and other daily living skills.
• Follow individualized care plans and document progress.

• For some DSP roles, travel and provide support between residential and day programs.
