About The Position

Chimes, a mission-driven nonprofit, is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges in living with dignity, independence, and confidence. The role is scheduled Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and pays $18 per hour. Some DSP roles require travel and providing support between residential and day programs. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds or more.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Meet one of the following driving record requirements: at least three years of unsuspended driving history with no more than three points, or at least two years of unsuspended driving history with a clean driving record.

• Experience in disability services is preferred, but not required; training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with kindness and respect.
• Assist with personal care and daily living skills, including dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, and bathing.
• Follow individualized care plans and document progress.
• Administer medications in accordance with policy.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
• Use approved behavior support techniques.
• Encourage community engagement and participation.
• For some roles, travel and provide support between residential and day programs.
