AWAKE OVERNIGHTS: DSP $1000 HIRING BONUS
About The Position
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at LSS, you will provide person-centered care to people with identified needs as they pursue their hopes, dreams, and goals. The role is based in a residential group home supporting up to four people, as part of a collaborative team focused on dignity, respect, and inclusion. The listed shift is 11 PM–7 AM. The position pays $16.00 per hour, with an opportunity to increase to $16.50 per hour after six months of consistent employment. A $1,000 hiring bonus is offered subject to eligibility requirements: working at least 40% FTE, staying current on all trainings, maintaining employment in good standing, and working all scheduled shifts. No prior experience or formal education is required; training and support are provided. This role may suit caregivers, PCAs, homemakers, home care providers, resident assistants, or others interested in helping people. It can also be a starting point for careers in social work, nursing, healthcare, human services, psychology, and nonprofits.
Requirements
- A genuine interest in helping others and supporting people with identified needs through person-centered care.
- No prior experience or formal education is required; training and support are provided.
- Comfort with basic computer use for documenting care and communicating with the team.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- A valid driver’s license and safe driving record, and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Check.
- Ability to pass a DHS background check.
Responsibilities
- Build meaningful relationships while providing guidance, encouragement, and support.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, hygiene, meals, household support and cleaning, and transportation.
- Support community involvement, social connections, and independent living skills.
- Advocate for the rights, needs, and preferences of people with identified needs.
- Monitor health and well-being and report changes as needed.
- Complete required documentation and participate in training and team meetings.
