About The Position

Mosaic is hiring temporary Direct Support Professionals to support people as they learn and develop daily living skills and participate in life activities, helping them live as independently as possible. The role pays $25 per hour and is limited to a maximum of 40 hours per week, with no overtime eligibility. The assignment is limited to 120 days, with conversion options. Temporary employees are ineligible for benefits, PTO, sign-on bonuses, and referral incentives. No experience is needed, and thorough training is provided.

The position is suited to someone who is compassionate, attentive, communicative, dependable, inclusive, and motivated to make a positive difference. The work includes providing emotional support and assisting with personal care, household tasks, meal preparation, and laundry while promoting people’s safety, comfort, independence, and personal goals.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid U.S. driver's license where applicable.
• No prior experience is needed; thorough training is provided.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Time management skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities while communicating honestly about timelines, challenges, and questions.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the work, including frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling, and the ability to safely transfer 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of daily living skills and life activities by creating an environment where people can learn, grow, and discover.
• Help people identify and achieve goals that are important to them so they can live as independently as possible.
• Monitor the comfort and safety of people served and ensure their medical, nutritional, and personal care needs are met.
• Provide emotional support and assist with general housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry.
