About The Position

InReach is seeking a Direct Support Professional (independent contractor) to provide Day Support Services to a female individual with developmental disabilities in the Charlotte, North Carolina area (28210). The position is for 32 hours per week, with a flexible schedule; Thursdays and Fridays are preferred. The pay rate is $22.52 per hour.

The DSP will provide companionship, care, and support, including assistance with home living, social-role development, community integration, healthy social habits, medication, and transportation. This is an independent contractor position. Contractors receive a 1099 tax form and use a third-party contract management vendor for direct deposits. Contractors are responsible for fees for state-required training, Occupational Accident Insurance, and the vendor’s administrative services.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Successfully pass a drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of experience with the intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD) population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and assistance in home living environments.
