About The Position

InReach is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) as an independent contractor to support a female individual with developmental disabilities in the Charlotte, North Carolina area (28273). The role provides Community Living and Support Services for 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The pay rate is $20.35 per hour.

The DSP provides companionship, care, and support in home and community settings. Duties include assisting with home living, supporting social development and community integration, dispensing medication and monitoring dosages, and providing transportation to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities.

This is an independent contractor position. Contractors receive a 1099 tax form and use a third-party contract management vendor for direct deposits. Contractors are responsible for fees for state-required training, Occupational Accident Insurance, and the vendor’s administrative services.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Successfully pass a drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of experience with the intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD) population is preferred.
