About The Position

InReach is seeking a Direct Support Professional (independent contractor) to support a female individual with developmental disabilities in the Charlotte area (28227). The role provides Respite, Community Networking, and Supported Employment Services for 32 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The position pays $16.07 per hour for Respite, $22.27 per hour for Community Networking, and $23.07 per hour for Supported Employment. The Direct Support Professional provides instruction and assistance in home living environments, supports the individual in identifying and acquiring valued social roles, facilitates community integration, and helps develop healthy social habits. The role also includes dispensing medication and monitoring dosages, as well as transporting and accompanying the individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities. This is an independent contractor position. Contractors receive a 1099 tax form and use a third-party contract management vendor for direct deposits. Contractors are responsible for fees for state-required training, Occupational Accident Insurance, and the contract management vendor’s administrative services.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license.
Successfully pass a drug screen and background check.
