About The Position

InReach is seeking a Direct Support Professional working as an independent contractor to provide Community Living and Support Services to a female individual with developmental disabilities in the Charlotte, North Carolina area (28273). The position is 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., at $20.35 per hour.

The contractor will provide companionship, care, and support, including assistance with home living, social roles and habits, community integration, medication, and transportation. Independent contractors receive a 1099 tax form and use a third-party Contract Management vendor for direct deposits. Contractors are responsible for fees for state-required training, Occupational Accident Insurance, and the vendor’s administrative fees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Successfully pass a drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of experience with the intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) population.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and assistance in home living environments.
• Help the individual identify and acquire valued social roles.
