Direct Support Professional (DSP) - 2nd Shift Full Time
About The Position
Bancroft is hiring a Direct Support Professional for its Adult Residential North program in Voorhees, New Jersey. The DSP empowers adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to realize their best lives by supporting quality care in a positive and empathetic manner. The role focuses on helping residents build daily living skills, encouraging independence through personalized care plans, and fostering community through events and outings. DSPs work as part of a supportive, accountable team and communicate with residents, families, and guardians. The full-time schedule is Wednesday 2 p.m.–10 p.m., Thursday 12 p.m.–10 p.m., Friday 2 p.m.–10 p.m., and Saturday 8 a.m.–10 p.m. The hourly rate is $19.06–$19.44. Weekend availability is required. The work may be physically, mentally, and emotionally challenging, and each hour can bring different circumstances.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Work well in teams and be open to learning new skills.
- Ability and willingness to work weekends.
- Current driver’s license in good standing.
- Strong desire to work with autistic individuals and/or people with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
