About The Position

Bancroft is hiring a full-time Direct Support Professional for its Adult Residential department in Marlton, New Jersey. The role supports adults with autism and intellectual or developmental disabilities by providing quality care in a positive and empathetic manner. The schedule is Wednesday 3 p.m.–11 p.m., Thursday and Friday 2 p.m.–11 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m.–11 p.m. The hourly rate is $19.06–$19.44.

Direct Support Professionals help residents build daily living skills and independence through personalized care plans, plan events and outings, and communicate with residents, families, and guardians. The role is part of a supportive team. Weekend availability is required. Bancroft notes that each day can be different and that caring for people served can be physically, mentally, and emotionally challenging.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Work well in teams and be open to learning new skills.
• Have the ability and willingness to work weekends.
• Have a current driver's license in good standing.
• Have a strong desire to work with autistic and/or intellectually or developmentally disabled individuals.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
