About The Position

Bancroft is hiring a Direct Support Professional for its Adult Residential department in Voorhees, New Jersey. The role provides quality, empathetic care to adults with autism and other intellectual or developmental disabilities. Direct Support Professionals help residents build daily living skills, encourage independence through personalized care plans, organize community events and outings, collaborate with a supportive team, and communicate with residents, families, and guardians. The work can be physically, mentally, and emotionally challenging, and each day may be different.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work well in teams and openness to learning new skills.
• Ability and willingness to work weekends.
• Current driver’s license in good standing.
• Strong desire to work with autistic and/or intellectually or developmentally disabled individuals.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
• Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
