About The Position

Bancroft is hiring Direct Support Professionals for its Adult Residential department in Medford, New Jersey. The role supports adults with autism and other intellectual or developmental disabilities by providing quality care in a positive and empathetic manner. Direct Support Professionals help residents develop daily-living skills, encourage independence through personalized plans of care, organize events and outings, and communicate with residents, families, and guardians. The position is full-time and requires weekend availability. The listed schedule is Sunday 11:00 a.m.–11:30 p.m., Monday 2:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m., and Tuesday and Wednesday 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m. The hourly rate is $19.06–$19.44.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Work well in teams and be open to learning new skills.
• Have the ability and willingness to work weekends.
• Have a current driver's license in good standing.
• Have a strong desire to work with autistic and/or intellectually or developmentally disabled individuals.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
• Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
