About The Position

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at LSS, you support people with identified needs as they pursue their hopes, dreams, and goals through person-centered care. The role is based in a residential group home setting supporting up to four people, as part of a collaborative, mission-driven team focused on dignity, respect, and inclusion. The position pays $17.00 per hour, with an opportunity to increase to $17.50 per hour after six months of consistent employment. A $2,000 hiring bonus is available to eligible team members who meet the stated requirements.

Requirements

A genuine interest in helping and supporting people with identified needs through person-centered care.
No prior experience or formal education is required; training and support are provided.
Comfort with basic computer use for documenting care and communicating with the team.
Ability to read and write in English.
A valid driver’s license and safe driving record, and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Check.
Ability to pass a DHS background check.

Responsibilities

Build meaningful relationships and provide guidance, encouragement, and support.
Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, hygiene, meals, household support and cleaning, and transportation.
Support community involvement, social connections, and independent living skills.
Advocate for the rights, needs, and preferences of people with identified needs.
Monitor health and well-being and report changes as needed.
Complete required documentation and participate in training and team meetings.
