Direct Support Professional GC-WH
About The Position
Indera is hiring a part-time, one-to-one Direct Support Professional in Cazenovia, New York, to support a 28-year-old man. The role focuses on developing social skills and independent-living skills, helping him explore new hobbies and build on existing interests, and supporting his participation in enjoyable community activities. He enjoys discussing board games, including one he is creating and its characters and storylines. The ideal candidate is creative, engaging, active, patient, open to exploring new activities and interests, and willing to travel to different locations. The schedule is Mondays and Wednesdays, during late mornings and early afternoons. Starting pay is $19.25 per hour, with increases based on years of relevant experience. Additional hours may be available supporting other people receiving services at the agency.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- At least 18 years old.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule.
- Reliable transportation to arrive at the job site on time.
- Technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and willingness to abide by Indera's technology policy.
