About The Position

Bancroft is hiring a Direct Support Professional for its BI - Adult Residential department in North Brunswick. The role provides quality, empathetic care to adults with autism and intellectual or developmental disabilities. Direct Support Professionals help residents develop daily living skills, encourage independence through personalized care plans, plan community events and outings, work as part of an accountable and supportive team, and communicate with residents, families, and guardians. The schedule is Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 11 p.m. to 9 a.m., at an hourly rate of $19.06–$19.44.

The work can be varied, and caring for the people served may be physically, mentally, and emotionally challenging. Weekend availability is required. Bancroft describes itself as a care team of 2,700 employees across more than 200 facilities and homes in New Jersey and Delaware.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Works well in a team and is open to learning new skills.
• Ability and willingness to work weekends.
• Current driver’s license in good standing.
• Strong desire to work with autistic and/or intellectually or developmentally disabled individuals.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
• Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
