About The Position

Join the Residential Program to support individuals with developmental disabilities with daily living activities and create opportunities for them to be full and engaged members of their communities. Direct Support Professionals work as part of a team in a group home setting, helping residents with household tasks such as meal planning and preparation, laundry, and light housework, and assisting with personal care as required. Positions are available in Tompkins, Cortland, and Tioga Counties. Candidates may express their preferred locations at the time of interview.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Commitment to furthering human interdependence.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with day-to-day household activities, including cooking, cleaning, shopping, meal preparation, and laundry.
• Assist residents with eating, getting in and out of wheelchairs, and bathing as needed.
• Work as part of a team to support residents’ daily living activities and community engagement.
