About The Position

BAYADA Home Health Care is hiring Spanish/English bilingual Direct Support Professionals to work one-on-one with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in home and community settings in Salisbury and Rowan County, North Carolina. DSPs serve as companions and mentors, supporting clients in reaching their full potential. Salisbury openings include weekday day and evening shifts, with flexible day shifts starting as early as 10 a.m. Rowan County openings include weekday day shifts, weekday evening shifts, and weekends. The position offers flexible scheduling, weekly pay, and opportunities to support clients with everyday activities and community participation.

Requirements

One or more years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities; training may be available through the apprentice program for candidates without this experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Bilingual Spanish and English for the Salisbury opening.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance, including dressing and grooming.
Accompany clients on errands and appointments.
Spend time with clients participating in their favorite hobbies and activities.
Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation.
Participate in community integration activities.
