About The Position

ViaQuest Residential Services Direct Support Professionals support individuals with developmental disabilities in intermediate care facilities and their homes. The role focuses on fostering independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring individuals’ health and safety. Training is provided, and no prior experience is required. The position is offered full-time and part-time in Streetsboro.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Have a personal, reliable vehicle and be willing and able to use it to transport individuals served.
• Have a valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria based on the Motor Vehicle Record.
• Be able to push, lift, or carry up to 50 pounds and climb, balance, kneel, and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, fostering increased independence, choice, and empowerment while meeting health and safety needs.
• Supervise, teach, and assist individuals in all aspects of their lives.
• Complete household tasks, including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Provide personal care assistance.
• Provide companion care and caregiving.
