Requirements

Previous experience as a DSP, DCW, CNA, and Home Health Aide
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
Ability to connect with individuals of varying abilities and backgrounds.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

Plan and participate in social and recreational activities that promote engagement and interaction, ensuring clients have fun and feel included.
Work collaboratively with clients to set and achieve personal goals, offering guidance and encouragement along the way.
Develop trusting relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs, preferences, and personalities.
Assist clients with transportation to appointments, community events, and social gatherings, ensuring they have opportunities to explore and engage with their community.
Keep accurate records of client progress, incidents, and services provided, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks, fostering independence and self-sufficiency.
