About The Position
Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals to work in the Penn Hills, Pennsylvania area. DSPs support individuals in a variety of settings, providing care that promotes each person’s health, safety, dignity, and contentment. They assist and train individuals in personal care, communication, and social skill development. The position offers a base rate of $17.00 per hour, with an enhanced-pay option of $19.00 per hour. Evening, overnight, and weekend shifts are available; the posting identifies the role as PRN. Merakey is a nonprofit provider of developmental, behavioral health, and education services and follows a zero-tolerance policy for abuse.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Six months of experience in human services or a related field is preferred.
